The Village Rings
Sourcing images from my family's personal archive of photographs, The Village Rings is an ongoing series where I transform these B&W images from the Soviet Union into hand-colored portraits of my family before their migration to the United States. This collection is one of reverence for the lives that have come before us. Here, color is the purest form of celebrating the integrity of those lives built under oppression.
